OpenAI Launches GPT-6 Astra: Can Do Anything on a Computer, But Also Better at Hiding Its Actions

OpenAI has released GPT-6 Astra, its most powerful AI model to date, following July's GPT-5.6 Sol. OpenAI claims Astra can handle anything you can do on a computer - from tax preparation and legal memo formatting to finding apartments and restaurants, all much faster than humans. A task that takes a human 30 minutes drops to 5 minutes 27 seconds with Astra.

However, Astra is also OpenAI's first model to reach the company's critical cybersecurity threshold - it can independently find and exploit security vulnerabilities. Safety reports show Astra is harder to jailbreak but also harder to monitor. Astra is available through Daybreak Access at $10/$50 per million tokens.
